Installed a Michelin Airstop tube on the left main during annual of Dec 2020 on my Grumman Tiger, this has held air very well, so well that I went ahead and just bought a new tube for the right main. The tubes are worth the money. Highly recommended.

I’ve had 5 flat nose tires in 5 years. Some of the times quality of the tube was the suspect. Thought I’d try this tube and see if the extra cost is worth it.

Unlike the recently purchased Dresser Leakguard tube that would not maintain air pressure, the Michelin Airstop tube has performed flawlessly. It is worth spending a little extra to own a better tube on your airplane.

Easy install. This is a nose wheel with a hub cap. These tubes retain air pressure very well so it will reduce the hassle of adding air as often.

Had three flat tires on my right tire with less expensive tubes and not one flat on the left tire that had this brand and type of tube.

It was flat when I received it, but it turned out to be round and held air once installed inside the tire and mounted on the wheel. It was the most fun I’ve ever had changing an inner tube, including the time I was floating down the river and swapped tubes with one my buddies right in the middle of a set of rapids. Good times. I bought two. Can’t wait for next time.

The airstops do what they say. Pressure stays up for months. My old non-airstops seemed like every couple weeks they were down a couple psi.

Unfortunately, one of these 3 tubes had a defective valve stem and only half of it could be removed. I sent it back but I did not have time for another week of downtime waiting for replacement so I was forced to re-use the existing tube. Would have expected better quality control on such a pricey tube.

My issue was tat my previous new tube was leaking about 15 lbs in a month. I pulled the tube and found absolutely no leaks both under water and with soap, either in the rubber or valve stem after 30 minutes. I am to assume that the rubber of this tire made in Mexico uses substandard materials that weep air pressure over an abbreviated amount of time I was told that this new tube is far different. I installed one about a week ago and it seems to be holding pressure. I will not know for certain for at least three more weeks. I am not happy that there is a tube for my nose wheel which suffers from the same problem. I have suggestions from fellow pilots/builders on what to try. Gus Gustavson GlaStar

Bought three new Airstop tubes in mid November. Two tubes were fine the third came with a valve that was broken in two pieces and could not be removed from the stem for installation. I sent the tube back and was told it would need to be inspected by Michelin before credit would be given for the return. I was told it could take a month 6 weeks later still waiting. I didnt buy the tube from Michelin - I bought it from AS and expected better service. Bad enough - I could not complete the job that day. Instead, I got a new job... spend weeks tracking a refund :(

Less than 2 years old and is leaking at seam. (visibly splitting) The tube it replaced cost 1/3 as much...and lasted 3 times as long.

Very disappointed. Slow leak developed in about 18 months where two seams (the spiral seam and the diameter seam) cross. No puncture -- no visible hole -- but bubbles when pressurized under water. But a fast enough leak that the tire goes flat tire overnight. Maybe they had a bad week in the factory (W 43 2017) on P/N 092-308-0. Clearly a manufacturing defect and totally unacceptable for a $100 tube.
